Compact Hardware for Search-Focused Surveillance

The Dahua DHI-NVR4108HS-8P-EI is a compact 8-channel WizSense network video recorder for retail stores, offices and other small to medium-sized sites. Its eight integrated PoE ports provide direct power and network connections for a complete eight-camera deployment. The 260 × 232.7 × 47.6 mm chassis also offers front and rear USB access for practical desktop or cabinet installation.

QuickPick 2.0 and Structured Face Investigation

When used with select compatible IP cameras, QuickPick 2.0 helps operators search for human and vehicle targets by clothing color, vehicle color, hats, clothing types and vehicle types. Recorder-side analytics include one channel of face detection and recognition, two channels of perimeter protection and four channels of SMD Plus.

Up to 10 face databases can hold a combined 20,000 images with a total capacity of 2.5 GB. Identity details such as names, credential information and regional data can be associated with stored images, supporting more organized face comparison and event review.

Video Processing and Storage Resources

  • High-resolution access: Supports IP cameras up to 16 MP and HDMI output at up to 3840 × 2160.
  • Conditional bandwidth: Provides 256 Mbps incoming, recording and outgoing bandwidth with recorder AI disabled, or 180 Mbps with AI enabled.

Does QuickPick 2.0 work with every connected camera?

No. The datasheet states that QuickPick becomes available with select compatible IP cameras. It uses perimeter-protection data to search human and vehicle targets by appearance attributes, so basic video connectivity or ONVIF support alone does not confirm QuickPick 2.0 compatibility.
