WizSense Analytics for Identity and Event Investigation
The Dahua DHI-NVR2108-8P-I2 is an 8-channel WizSense network video recorder for shops, offices, residential entrances and other sites requiring searchable video evidence. Recorder-side AI supports one channel of face detection and recognition, one channel of perimeter protection and four channels of SMD Plus. Its face library accommodates up to 10 databases containing a combined 5,000 images, enabling comparison between captured faces and stored records.
Eight-Camera PoE Deployment
Eight integrated PoE ports carry network data and power to compatible cameras, reducing the need for separate PoE switching in a complete eight-camera installation. The ports share a 72 W power budget, with a maximum output of 25.5 W from one port. Compatible intelligent cameras can extend selected analytics beyond the recorder’s own resources, including up to five channels of camera-side face detection or recognition, four channels of perimeter protection and six channels of SMD Plus.
Recording, Display and Search Capabilities
- High-resolution access: Supports IP camera resolutions up to 12 MP and displays video through simultaneous HDMI and VGA outputs.
- Adaptive decoding: Decodes up to six 1080p streams at 30 fps when recorder AI is disabled, or four when AI is enabled.
- Local storage: One SATA interface accepts one HDD up to 10 TB for scheduled, motion-triggered, alarm or manual recording.
- Focused investigation: AI Search uses recorded metadata or uploaded face images to help locate relevant people and events.
