Eight PoE Ports for a Complete Eight-Camera System
The Dahua DHI-NVR2108-8P-4KS3 is an 8-channel network video recorder designed for villas, shops and small to medium-sized properties. Because every camera channel has a corresponding PoE port, up to eight compatible cameras can connect directly to the recorder without requiring a separate PoE switch. The shared 72 W PoE budget supports IEEE 802.3af/at devices, subject to the power requirements of the selected cameras.
Smarter Event Filtering at the Recorder
Built-in four-channel SMD Plus applies secondary filtering to motion events and distinguishes humans and motor vehicles from non-target movement caused by rain, leaves or changing light. Compatible AI cameras can also provide SMD across all eight channels and camera-side perimeter protection. This division lets buyers match standard and intelligent cameras to the areas where analytics are most valuable.
High-Resolution Recording in a Compact Format
The NVR accepts cameras up to 12 MP and provides HDMI output at up to 3840 × 2160 for detailed local viewing. With recorder AI disabled, it supports up to six 1080p streams at 30 fps and provides 144 Mbps incoming and recording bandwidth. A single SATA bay accommodates one HDD up to 20 TB, while Smart H.265+ and Smart H.264+ compression help manage storage and network use.
