The Hikvision DS-2CD3956G2-IS(U) is a 5 MP AcuSense Fisheye Network Camera designed for comprehensive blind-spot-free monitoring in retail stores, commercial offices, hotel lobbies, and classrooms. Powered by a 1/2.7" progressive scan CMOS sensor and an ultra-wide 1.05 mm fixed lens (horizontal FOV 360°, vertical FOV 180°), it captures crisp 2560 × 1920 video at up to 30 fps, replacing multiple traditional fixed cameras with a single streamlined ceiling installation.
Flexible Dewarping Modes and Edge AI Analytics
Equipped with onboard hardware and software dewarping, the camera transforms curved fisheye video into intuitive rectilinear views tailored to operator requirements:
- Versatile Display Modes: Supports Fisheye View, 180° Panorama View, Dual-Channel Panorama, 4PTZ virtual tracking, and combined Fisheye + 3PTZ multi-view modes.
- Deep-Learning Heat Mapping: Generates customer dwell time and traffic density visual maps to assist commercial business intelligence.
- HEOP Open Platform: Offers 1.5 TOPS AI computing power with 400 MB Smart RAM and 2 GB eMMC memory, supporting third-party deep-learning algorithm imports via C/C++ and OpenDevSDK.

Discreet Footprint, Audio Integration, and Standard PoE
Measuring only 119.9 mm in diameter and weighing 320 g, the camera blends discreetly into ceiling surfaces. It features a built-in microphone (-U model) with environmental noise filtering, 1 audio line in/out, 1 alarm input/output, 1 RS-485 port, and a microSD slot supporting up to 512 GB local storage. It operates efficiently via standard PoE (802.3af, max 7.5 W) or 12 VDC.
