High-Security 4K Surveillance in a Rugged Vandal Dome
The Hikvision DS-2CD2183G2-IS is an 8 MP AcuSense Fixed Dome Network Camera engineered for high-security commercial, retail, educational, and public facility surveillance. Powered by a 1/2.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor, it captures crisp 4K Ultra HD footage (3840 × 2160 @ 20 fps / 3200 × 1800 @ 25/30 fps) with low-light color sensitivity down to 0.005 Lux. Available in 2.8 mm (107° FOV) for broad situational coverage and 4 mm (87° FOV) for enhanced focal identification, its 3-axis gimbal adjustment (pan 0° to 355°, tilt 0° to 75°, rotate 0° to 355°) ensures fast, flexible mounting on ceilings or walls.
Intelligent Target Classification with Audio and Alarm Integration
Equipped with embedded deep-learning AI processors and extensive physical interfaces, this dome camera delivers proactive event detection and seamless system integration:
- AcuSense Perimeter Protection: Distinguishes humans and vehicles during line crossing and intrusion detection events, filtering out nuisance alarms caused by moving foliage, shadows, rain, or small animals.
- Audio & Alarm Interface (-S): Includes dedicated two-core terminal blocks for 1 audio line-in, 1 audio line-out (with noise filtering), and 1 alarm input / 1 alarm output (max. 12 VDC, 30 mA) for external sensors and sirens.
- Smart 30-Meter Infrared Night Vision: Integrated 850 nm Smart IR automatically adjusts illumination intensity to provide clear black-and-white video in 0 Lux darkness without overexposing approaching subjects.
- 120 dB True WDR: Preserves balanced exposure across high-contrast environments, window backlighting, and bright entryways.
- Face Detection: Automatically detects facial features within the scene for rapid forensic search and security event logging.
Heavy-Duty IK10 & IP67 Protection with Low-Power PoE
Built with an aluminum alloy body and high-impact plastic bubble, the camera is certified IK10 vandal-resistant and IP67 weather-sealed, operating reliably from -30 °C to 60 °C. It supports local edge storage up to 512 GB via an onboard microSD card slot and operates efficiently via standard PoE (802.3af, max 7.5 W) or 12 VDC power.
